Philosophy of the Albany Historic Interior Tour Committee
The Albany Historic Interior Tour Committee was founded in 1978 in hopes of inspiring and cultivating historic preservation by promoting and providing tours of Albany's architectural and cultural heritage. The committee is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose prime purpose is to promote awareness of historic architecture and local history by creating unique and quality tours of Albany's vintage homes and buildings. The committee sponsors 2 tours a year. The summer tour of homes is always on the last Saturday of July and the Christmas Parlour Tour is always on the second Sunday of December. Proceeds from the tours are donated to historic projects within the community.
